My great Schwinn A.C. Sport Purchase ended after the purchase
I'm updating my whole review. This is my experience as of 4/13/17. I have never written a bad review or had an experience quite like this and feel the need to caution others before they spent their hard earned money with this company. My updated story is as follows: After a month of research on a spinning bike I decided on the Schwinn A.C. Sport with Carbon Blue Bike. The console for it was another thing I researched, and knowing that I'm not great with new technology I decided on the Cadence Pro console. Not because of price but because it had the features I wanted in a more simple unit. I knew after all this research I would not be able to figure out how to attach the console to the bike myself, and found this company on the internet willing to not only assemble the bike but attach the console and get it started for me with calibration and it would be all ready for me to use when it arrived at my door. My salesman was Jay Allred, nice guy. He answered all my questions and went back and forth with me through email and on the phone to get it ordered. He knew when I ordered it that I chose the console I did for the reasons I did (at least I told him so anyways) I was told I would get a notification of shipping when it shipped so I would know to expect it. I got no notification. It arrived luckily in great shape. I was worried most about this. I unwrapped it and much to my amazement the console looked totally different then the one I ordered. I tried to call and email Jay but got no immediate answers. I had to go online and pull up all the consoles to try to figure it out. After still not hearing from Jay and still not knowing what they sent me I called customer service who told me they "upgraded me" to the Echelon2 Console but it looked different because it was red. They said they were sorry for not notifying me?????? WHAT?? I could not believe they would mount a console on that I specifically said I did not want. Not only that, this console does NOTHING but give me RPM's without the upgrade Power feature. Now I have a bike with a useless console mounted on it that I have no Idea how to get off as it runs all through the bike and will not be able to get the other one on by myself. the WHOLE reason I had them assemble it for me to begin with!! Apparently the console I wanted was on backorder. I was SO upset I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was none in but they would have one call me. No one from management has EVER called me. David in customer service told me they would send the console to me when it arrived and have a technician come to my home to attach it. I told David that at this point I somehow am not trusting that whoever comes to my house will know what he is doing, and I have a $2,000 bike he could damage. David informed me that if he had trouble he could always call them to get instructions on the phone while he was here. I did not have a good feeling about this, but was stuck. There is NOTHING I can do about this at this point. My console arrived on a Saturday and realizing they were closed I emailed David asking to set an appointment with a technician. On Tuesday I was told the tech would call me that day, on Wednesday I was told he would call me that day, on Thursday I asked for the tech's information so I could call him myself. I called him and it seems he is only available very late in the day AFTER Total Body Experts is closed! He travels the western United States and is not available in my area till late in the day, after 5:00pm tomorrow. I told him I'm off on Mondays but on Monday as everyday he is traveling and cant make it till late in the day as well. He has no idea how to calibrate and set the "gear ratio", the instruction book does not show HOW to do this, and he will NOT be able to call them while he is here as they will be closed?? If this bike was sent with the proper console this would have been done as I was told "it would be all ready to go"!! But now I'm having to deal with this. Had I have known the console was on backorder, I would have waited. I called Jay this morning and left a message that I needed him to call me to explain how to set the gear ratio on the new console. I sent him an email telling him I tried to call him. I also emailed David asking for the same info. I have not heard from either one of them. What I do know at this point is that I can not have someone work on my $2000 bike if they have no one to contact if they have a problem. This is just so aggravating and for the money I spent, I should not be going through all this
