I've came across Tutorz.com when I was looking for a PHP tutor for my programming class at Santa Monica City College. Because Tutorz.com is new to me I've tested them a bit more in detail.
What liked from the beginning is that the site is clear and simple to understand. It is actually working (unless some other sites of the bunch). I've submitted a tutoring request but didn't hear back until 2 days after wards. The local tutor in Santa Monica was not really a PHP tutor (more Python tutor) and I didn't go with him. Instead Tutorz.com refereed me to a tutor from the Bay Area. I went with him to receive online tutoring and it worked.
Email communication with Tutorz.com was very quick. I was expecting more tutors. Some things of their system is unclear but on the other hand, the service is pro bono (free).
Overall I am happy and would use the site again.
