Unable to get a human being

I had a package scheduled for delivery today by 7pm and by 10pm the package still has not arrived. The website and text messages still list status as "On the way". I have called their number and the automated system will not allow me to speak to a human agent. I do not want to get current status from the automated system, I already know that. I do not want to sign up for 'UPS My Choice'. I want to make arrangements to get my package ASAP and the only way is to speak with a human being.
Being told by the automated system that it is unable to connect me to an agent only increases my frustration.
Note: Tacoma, WA is where the website indicated the package was located before becoming "On the way". I am located North of Seattle, WA
