My initial letter I wrote was a long story about how I was 1-2 weeks from losing my home and how Vanguard stepped in and saved it. A long story short, Vanguard is the real deal. I started my modification in August of 2009, due to a surgery I was going to have and did everything the mortgage company told me too. I was told everything was going to be ok from my mortgage company(Metlife) and my paper was correctly filled out and I qualified for a modification. All of that was between August-December of 2009. Now I started calling everyday and everyday I was being told the same thing. "you won't lose your house and we will have an answer for you in the next two weeks",said Metlife. Next thing I know my so called modification has gone through 3 different companies without any clear answer. Now May of 2010 has arrived and a foreclosure notice appears on my door for June 16. Now at this point words can't define how I was feeling nor proper to write on this review. Keith from Vanguard contacted me stating he could save my home. Again at this point I believed that as much as I hitting the lottery. I am really not trying to make this long but they came through with greater expectations than I had ever imagined. They called me frequently, giving me updates, letting me know that if they couldn't help me that all money would be returned to me. All of this was given to me in writing, so I said what the hell I have a foreclosure date in two weeks what did I really have to lose. After 10 months of fighting with my mortgage company I was well beyond the point of stressed out and all I wanted to do is give up. All I can say, they will tell you up front if they can help you and not lead you on. Keith and Ellen there is a special place in my family's heart for you two. Words cant describe the emotions I have now and if there is anything I can do for you please call me. You two know my profession.............
