Found ad on craigslist for kitchen cabinets at wholesale prices. Thought I was getting an incredible deal for an entire kitchen filled with cabinets for $3,900 (installed). I paid $2,900 upfront (cash & check) to Aviva Rosen, also known as Vee. Initially I was told the cabinets would be installed within one week after giving the deposit. Instead it took 2 months and even then I only received a partial order. Vee told me she would refund some of the money I paid her so I could purchase the remaining cabinets from her supplier directly (because the company didn't want to do business with her). I never received the refund, she doesn't answer my calls, and she doesn't return messages. I had to pay $1,699 extra to the supplier for the remaining cabinets. My kitchen is now complete but I'm out an extra $1700! Also, she has a long history of doing this sort of thing to other customers. Her old company names are Furniture & Design and WC Interiors. UPDATE 12/16/2010: Last night I received a call from Vee saying she wanted to refund my money. She paid me the full amount in cash. In return I agreed to update any online posting I wrote about Vee or her company and say the issue has now been resolved.
