I am confused as to whether I should trust Nathanson Law Center. I recieved a letter in the mail talking about loan modification which we are looking to do. I called and talked to a guy who seemed very professional and knew what he was talking about. He promptly sent me very professional forms to fill out, but yet I am hesitant due to there web site being under construction and the lack of information to go on about this company. I am also confused, in researching Ken Nathanson, as he seems linked to many different things. (i.e. Sherman and Nathanson, Rewire my loan, Nathanson law center, ect...) It seems like quite the umbrella for so many people working under his license. I hope for the best and will see what response I get, but yet am proceeding very tenatively.

Here is a BBB report on the company. Be sure to click on View Complaints and then read what the complainants have alleged.

I got the same letter, and talked to the same very polite person on the phone. I was REALLY pleased with my modification...$6000 forgiven Payment from $2000 to $1400. and all in 2 weeks! What I didn't like is that they auto draft the 2nd payment out of your account without telling you they are doing it. I still have not received anything in writing saying they have done the modification, though my lender is on with my reduced payment. They sent me paperwork that was supposed to go to my lender....a month late. I had to call the lender and tell them I just got the paperwork even though it was NLC that was at fault. (looks bad to send late paperwork especially if your trying to drop your payment by $700 a month) So I think I am almost done dealing with them. Over all in the long run it was worth working with them, but in the short term it does feel a little funny.

They are No good for nothing but take your money...I have been working with them for over a year. They had taking over Rewire my loan and i paid them $3000 and no results.
We have asked for our money back with no response so everyone needs to be careful

Nathanson in other capacities is ok. Stay far away from the company for loan mods. Their closure rate is awful, and there is almost never a refund. Remember that it is illegal to charge fees up front for loan modifications in CA after Oct. 2009.
