I just recieved the 15 pages of "hurry up and do it now" to be a circular distributor and well I have to say they really had me going with all that writing and so called "proof". I have to say that the first reviewer must have had the best of luck. I did check with the bbb before sending in my check. And glad to say that reading the reviews helped a lot too. Until I read the reviews (especially Texon's) I was still considering on taking the risk. I wish something like this would come around without being a scam... I know good luck with that.. Ill call ya when I find one... Im sorry to say I had no contact with an associate from magic kids and therefore I have nothing to positively comment on however I do suggest that they don't scam people because it's mean and a lot of us are already hard on cash thats why we were contacting you.

Caveat Emptor = "Buyer Beware". Before jumping in the water with all the promises the Co. makes, do yourself a favor & complete your due diligence. Their slick 15 page "program" sounds too good to be true & what do they say about anything that seems to good to be true?....Yep, It usually is!
The rep's you talk to on the phone w/this Co. are fast talkers & continually ask for a credit card # & become irritated rather quickly over any questions asked of them. When I asked the rep if they belonged to the BBB, I was told "No and if I checked them out, I'd see an "F" rating, but that was only because they were not a member, but as soon as they paid to become a member, that "F" would dissapear & it would be "elevated", it was just too expensive to join the BBB"....Really??
In discussing this with the BBB, I was quickly informed this was incorrect information given to me by the rep on the phone!...Hmmm, seems as though I'm smelling MISREPRESENTATION here. If they're willing to go as far to misrepresent their rating w/the BBB, then what else is being misrepresented DAILY by this organization? Hmmm, just something to think about to those of you who were smart enough to check w/the BBB, and to review the sincere comments left by HONEST people BEFORE handing over your hard earned dollars to this Magic Kids, Inc. organization. It's "magic" alright, your hard earned money "magically" dissapears from your bank account & you're left with less $$$ in the bank. Who's winning here? Surely not the people buying into the promises made by Magic Kids, that's for sure!
The 15 page program sent to me, came in useful - it was put through the shredder & used as packing material for a package I sent to a friend. Thanks for the packing material "Magic Kids, Inc". I couldn't of thought of anything "greener"! :)

I own a children's store in Mobile, Alabama. I would like to share my experience with this company with anyone considering signing up. For almost 4 years now, I have been inundated with postcards, letters, emails, and even phone calls from distributors of this company. I receive on an average 15 to 30 contacts a month. This tells me that this company is selling way more distributorships than they are letting on. by doing the math, I am contacted somewhere around 250 times a year. I contacted this company in the spring of 2007 and asked to be removed from their lists. They refused to do so. I have even filed a complaint with the BBB. I was contacted by the owner of the company. I asked him to remove me, but he said he couldn't. He shared with me how he gets the lists of stores he sends out to the distributors. He told me he bought a book for $40 that lists all the children's stores in the country. He then makes copies of the lists and sends them out to the distributors. I own a legitimate business. I would be classified as a boutique and am not in any way a potential customer of this company. I have been so harassed by distributors, though, I wouldn't purchase from this company even if I was interested in their merchandise. If you are considering doing business with Magic Kids, I would be aware that this is really a scam. Most stores have been contacted numerous times by this outfit, and I'm sure would have bought already if they were interested. BUYER BEWARE!

Like Tonyasp I have just signed up. Hind sight can be 20/20. AFTER signing up I checked the BBB to see a big fat "F". Okay, scam me, I hope not. I will give it the 60 day trial and see what happens.
I am working on research into these types of opportunities. If anyone reading this has had fortunate or unfortunate experiences. It doesn't have to be home-based or internet it could be those real estate guru's as well. I would love to hear from you at email: jalexander93@yahoo.com.
Best Success! JA

I recieved papers from magic kids company inc to become a distributor of their advertising fliers to local businesses and local consumers to go to their web sight and purchase childrens clothing for 50-70% off normal pricing in stores which sounded great to me i could make money from the sales 50/50 at no expense to me except to distribute their fliers where they wanted them to go. At the end of the papers we were required to send them a postdated check for 147.00 plus shipping of 18.00 for their kit to distribute for them.If we didnt make 1500.00 in one month we were getting our check back. Thanks to the bbb I was able to look this company up first and not send them my money since there was not supposed to be any cost to me at all. Thanks

Hello. I received the 15-page sheets from Magic Kids,Inc recently; and the business opportunities sounded pretty inviting to me. But toward the end of the pages I saw the catch, I had to first put up a good faith payment of $147.00, which caused "caution bells to ring in my head." So I know that my long time friends at the BBB would be able to find out something about this company, if it was a scam or something. I am so glad that I did, I got a detailed report on them and found a number of complaints and false advertisments, and other negative complaints, so I choose not to even call the 1-800 number and trash the entire 15-page report of home business opportunities.

I am a ex-employee that worked in the office of Magic Kids. Once on board I learned about the company. Magic Kids is a joke! The public is paying a fee to work, "start your own business" at home. Selling children clothing. Telling the public they can make $3000 a month by distributing circulars. How? When you are on a fixed income and can't purchase the advertisement to circulate to the public. Even though the letter states, Magic kids will provide you with the tools. The only one that is making money is Magic Kids. Once you get the advertising out there, the distributor returns the kit because no one has responded and the customer purchase later off your ad. Magic Kids don't take care of the employee's in the office no more than the one out there distributing. You got to be more careful. If it sounds to good to be true, it is!

As of right now I am waiting to receive my package to become a Magic Kid Distributor in my area. I received & read the 15 page letter that was sent to me that included the order sheet. It stated I would not have to send pay up front for the 1st 30 days meaning my credit/debit card or checking account would not be charged until 33 days after placing order. Reading the information sounds great, I am really interested & I was extremely surprised when they did not attempt tp charge my debit card for the transaction, not even for the shipping & handling. I know this because I purposely did this while no available funds were in my account & new this would kick back if they attempted to do so which would tell me up front if this is a scam or not. So as for now I eagerly await my package to arrive. It even extended the 30 day money back guarantee to 60 days! So if this does turn out to be a scam. I will be back to make a formal complaint & to update my experience with Magic Kids.

I received the mailed letter, took the time to read through it all and was excited, but of course skeptical. I called the 1-800 number it told me to call... I spoke with a lady who spoke as if she were a computer. Everything was in short and to the point (me sending my check) answers. I asked if it was legal, etc and she responded,"Sorry m'am, I don't understand your question." That right there put me off, but I rephased my question until I got a,"Yes, this is a legit business m'am." Then I asked if they would really refund my check if I didn't make money, etc. Her response was,"Well to send the check just fill it out along with the paper provided." I said,"Yes, thank you. Have a good night. Bye." NO WAY WILL I TRY TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM... That phone call felt far from professional and legit. I'm not saying that I'm 100% sure they are scammers, but I do not think anyone should trust them.

Writing as a consumer and as a dealer rep for Magic Kids over all I find the company sells good quality clothing at extremely reasonable prices. Shipment is quick and I have not had any problems contacting a service representative. I can honestly recommend purchasing from this company.
Things to be aware of. The advertising the company uses is rather cheesy. As a dealer I create my own promotional materials, which function better in the region that I work.
The website could be much better organized. While you can choose male or female, etc. by category there is no way to search by size or availability. Chugging through numerous pages to find something interesting only to find that the size you need is either out of stock or unavailable in a particular style is rather annoying, especially on dial up.
However, overall, as a consumer I am very happy with my experience and at this point would recommend purchasing from this company.
