After I cancelled my policy, they continued to bill my account.
Under no circumstances should you ever allow these people to direct withdraw from your account.
I called Home Services USA, and canceled my policy. They stopped withdrawing from my account. And then, two months later, they hit me for $10.49. I've been calling them for two months, and I get nothing but lies.
If you are allowing them to charge directly against your checking account, call your bank now, and have them shutdown all transactions with Home Services USA.
Then, call Home Services and cancel.
Why am I forced to give them one star?

Beware! This company sells policies in many states. You're not safe anywhere. I paid for a Water Line Service Policy with Home Service USA for 8 years. When my water line leaked/broke I called them and they sent a contractor who could not find a leak outside or inside my home. I also called my regular plumber and one other plumber as well, they too could not find the leak. All three agreed that my water line is broken or leaking and I'm loosing hundreds of gallons a day but no one could find the location of the leak. The whole line would have to be replaced. Read the small print! I found to my dismay that I am the owner of an External policy and not an Internal policy. Who knew? If one short line of the very, very small print states that you are covered from the street to your home, then, guess what? You have an External policy. BUT (and they don't say this) once the water line enters your home to connect to your plumbing, you need an Internal policy. Since their contractor could not find a leak outside my home, according to Home Service that means that my leak is automatically an Internal leak and they refused to cover it since I did not own both policies. They did however offer the contractors services for $3550. My own plumber is doing the job for $2000. Nothing they've done is illegal, but beware! Oh, and by the way, be sure to read the list of exclusions from coverage in the fine print....Wow! I'd like to give them 0 stars but I don't know how to leave less than 1

We have been paying for Home Services USA Corp warranty program for 2 years now. Our water heater split and was pouring water everywhere. I called Progress Energy to see what we need to do. As we were paying for insurance through our electric bill. We were informed that we go buy a water heater have it installed and call back to start a claim process. It all seemed pretty easy. I called back Progress Energy to start the process. They patched me to Home Services USA. I was told at that time because we replaced it with a tank-less water heater it is not a covered item. I said then we will put electric water heater in even through it hasn't been 48 hours it will be replacing an tank-less not electric. they continue to take our money and the only letter we have ever received was they are now increasing our fee. So much to going green and thinking we were covered. Someone needs to stop this company from stealing money. They take the money but when it comes time to reimburse they refuse.

My mother, who is elderly and lives in Maryland, received a mailing from this company. After reading it several times, she did realize she was not obligated to send money but wanted me to check the company out to see if the service they offered was worthwhile. I am pretty skeptical of these types of offers normally, but I was very disturbed by the wording on their mailing. Terms such as: "You are responsible for the maintenance and repair of the water line at the above address. Please complete and return this form or call 1-877-444-7750 before February 17, 2010." Leading off with wording such as "You are responsible for..." and "respond by..." it gives the strong impression this is a bill, which is skating thinly close to fraud. The mailing I received stated the business is "BBB Accredited" - glad to see that's not true.

i too received this in the mail, it does look like an official request of payment from our county water company, as well at the state of Georgia. my elderly father thought he was required to pay for this, until i showed him it was NOT from the county or state. i did get thru on the phone to confront them about their format, and this company is owned and operated thru the United Kingdom, even though they have an office in miami. please make sure elderly people know this is not a requirement for them to purchase, even though they get an "A" rating with the BBB. i think they should be required to state they are not with the county or state with the first sentence, making sure there is no mistake on what people are led to believe.

I just received a solicitation through the mail from this company and I am very disturbed by how they present themselves. It appears that it is coming from the State of Kentucky, and an official government entity. I had to read it twice before realizing it was not coming from the water company or a government entity. I am contacting our state attorney general's office as well as our local television stations and the local Better Business Bureau. At one location on this website it states the company is not accredidated and on another site it is. I have always put a lot of trust in the BBB, but now I am wondering how the BBB could condone such deceptive gimmicks to get some of our most vulnerable citizens to buy this warranty insurance which is way too expensive and not needed.
