Fear-Based Marketing and Sales.
I give them 2 stars, they are great when you are with them, but their practice when leaving them, they use Fear-Based Marketing and Sales. Fear-Based Marketing and Sales. When a business uses fear tactics to pressure customers into staying or making purchases, it is referred to as fear-based marketing or fear-based sales. This approach manipulates emotions to create a sense of urgency or anxiety, compelling individuals to act against their better judgment. I changed my perspective on Allegiance Gold. I used them for a self directed IRA. They were great when buying from them, or when selling to them (I'm assuming because that's when they make money). But when I decided to leave I was called with very heavy fear based language (I'm assuming they don't want to lose business - who does?) But, I can only guess that using fear without logic or specifics is a directive from the top of the company. For 15 minutes, I asked for specifics and got more fear and urgency language. The more I pushed back on her fear tactics, the more she ramped up the fear. The more I asked for specific information, the more defensive she got. I had to end the conversation, she did not get the hint that I wanted specific details. I was told that the company I was moving to (a company that has been around far longer than than the company they represent, like over 100 year longer) I was told it was a "Red flag" and they were "scared for my decision." When I pressed in to get specifics about what they didn't like about the other company I was told ... basically ... "they are bad, we are good." The more I pressed for specific details, the less info I got and the more the rep pushed into the fear based language and got defensive. I was told "the other company is more expense" I asked for specifics, she gave none. I was told "the other company is slow" I asked for specifics, got none .... and who's the slow one.... I have been waiting for 2 weeks for their company to move. I was told "I just have a bad feeling." That great for you, but I don't really care about your feelings when dealing with financials, I need facts. She gave none. I was told "there's lots of red flags" I asked for what specific red flags, I got none. I work in the financial industry "red flags" are not general feeling, they are specific events and/or facts. I was told "We have a client who had a bad experience" I asked for specifics, and did get some, kinda ... I was told "They had a bad experience, and I can't say more." Big whop, someone got their feelings hurt. Probably because of how Allegiance Gold and STRATA Trust handled it. They claim to pride themselves in "transparency." Not being about to talk about anything other that "bad vibes" is not "transparent." I did not let their fear-mongering work on me. Don't let it work on you.
