Review 8/23/2010
|
I bought my home in September of 2009. On August 6th of 2010 my air conditioner quit working. I pulled out my paperwork which said they were there to take claims 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and called the number given. I was greeted by a recording that said I had called after office hours and to go online to file my claim. So I did just that. Saturday morning I called during office hours to make sure my claim was received and something was being done. I was told that they had sent the request to the technician, but he had 48 hours to call since it was on a weekend, so he probably wouldn't call until Monday. Mind you, I live in South Texas - it's VERY hot and VERY humid. Long story short, we are now in week 3 of trying to get this air conditioner fixed - every day a heat index of over 100* - and all they have to tell me is they're waiting for the technician to tell them something. I still have yet to see this technician they're claiming to have contacted, and of course I have no hope of getting my air conditioner fixed anytime soon. I've called at least once a day since I filed the claim and so far only managed to speak to a person 3 times. I'm very disappointed in the lack of service I'm receiving. I'd hire an independent contractor except that I can't afford it and I don't believe these people will reimburse me for it even though they're responsible for the repair. Don't waste your money and get your hopes up buying a home warranty with this company.
