THE BUSINESS: I feel completely mistreated by Boost Mobile. I purchased a sanyo Incognito for my daughter for christmas and was advised by the rep to get insurance in case the device is lost or stolen. I was excited about that because the phone was expensive for my pockets $100.00. I put the insurance on the phone and felt good that I can get it replaced if something happened. Well, my daughter lost the phone 3days later so I immediately called boost and was told by the rep that the line is suspended and to call the insurance co. to get the replacement handset. I did that. After 48hrs I was informed by the ins co. that there was conflicting information and I needed to contact boost mobile. upon contacting boost mobile, I learned that someone called in and changed my access (pin#), swaped my $100 phone for an old nextel phone and changed my insurance activation date. When asked how the person was able to do all that, I was told that all they had to do was call in from the handset and they will TEXT THE PIN# TO THE CELL DEVICE and as long as they have the pin # when they call they are able to have full control of the account. i requested to speak with the esculation department who told me that they cant put my phone back on my account so I could file an ins claim because it was activated on another account and nothing can be done about it. He opened a"fraud ticket" and its been 7days and it still says "pending".
CUSTOMER SERVICE: EXTREMELY POOR, I was HUNG up on SEVERAL times by several reps and was actually told by SEVERAL reps that its my fault the crook gained access to my account and they REFUSE to listen to your complaint.
I would not recommend ANYONE to boost mobile. YOU WILL LOOSE MORE MONEY THAN YOU SAVE.
