My husband and I was offered a 3-month deferment on our mortgage payment under what Carrington calls a COVID-19 forbearance program. One month in the plan, my husband received a call from one of their representatives stating our house was in foreclosure. Really? After further questioning the representative, she stated we would have to make all 3 payments in full after the 3 months. The CSR that placed us on this "forbearance program" mentioned NOTHING about making all 3 payments in full after the 3 months. He said the 3 payments would be placed at the end of our loan. Our loan was sold to this HORRIBLE company!! Not only were we lied to, but the lady also stated our loan was under review in their underwriting department for a loan modification. Which would mean we would end up receiving a higher interest rate and monthly payment. INSANE!! This company needs to be investigated and SHUT DOWN!!! Theirs a bunch of crooked people at this company and they are ruining people's credit and lives!!!!! SHAME ON YOU..................
