It is your typical Chinese money grab company. Create a cheap 2d game, put a bunch of one shot features in it for money. These features may as well be called cheating mode. For example one of their games are about building ships and taking over the galaxy. Now when the game started it didn't have this feature keep in mind. They implemented a feature which repairs ships that are "Destroyed." The time for the ships to repair depends on the type of ship. So a low class ship will repair relatively fast, but a high class one can take weeks. Now the messed up part is that they also added this onto the feature. Quick repair options, Reduce repair time by one hour for 1 mp, Reduce repair time by 5 hours for 3 mp, or even reduce total time by 30% for 25 mp. Mp cost around 5.5$ for 100. Mp is a cost in real life $. Anyone who says otherwise would be foolish to think that. Now the problem with that lies in the way the game is played. When the ships get destroyed that signify that many months have been destroyed depending on the ships that have been built. Now this repair feature can basically says, "Hey I want to take 2 months of ships and spend 50$ to repair the whole fleet." Well an anomaly like that will shift balance too much and cause unfair gameplay. That's something you would find on a action replay, but bear in mind that once you purchase your action replay it is free. Now I don't know if anyone else feels that a business model like that is ethically wrong, but I do and I will express that. They basically take advantage of people when they are most desperate and I think this points to players addictions on the game and yes I would compare IGG to drug dealers.
