Review 10/25/2010
First horrible thing: I was scammed into getting a Credit Report by a fake Craigslist house post. The way it works is that the Craigslist scammer creates a fake post and asks you to get a credit report. They get a commission from CreditReport for every new person they scam so they use every tactic to get you to sign up. Second horrible thing: There is no way to cancel the account online. You have to stay on the phone for a long time to cancel. The person on the other line is very rude, will not listen to your request, and instead scare you to try to keep your account. They put you on hold and try to make you hang up. They do however cancel in the end. Third horrible thing: They give away your email address to spammers and scammers. I use a unique email address to sign up for anything and this unique address is now being flooded with spam emails about fake degrees, bank offers, fix your credit and worse. Fourth horrible thing: I thought it was a privacy box I forgot to check that caused them to flood my email and there are two checkboxes on your accounts page that you have to uncheck. I doubt they work. However to test my theory I filled out a new form with yet another unique email. I did not even fill out a full application and I stopped at the credit card info. This new email is now getting spam too and I only filled out the initial form without signing up. I wish I knew the personal phone numbers and email addresses of the management. I would spent a lot of time wasting their time as they have wasted mine. What an unethical company.
