Review 7/31/2009

In short: Yes, I did get my detailed credit report from the website on day 1. My customer service experience caused me to question the company's legitimacy. Am I really better off knowing my score for a company I don't trust? I'd never recommend the experience with this company to anyone.
In detail: I called 925-273-3082 (not a free 1-800 number!) to cancel my trial in July 2009, 5 days after signing up online (to avoid getting charged after the 7th day for the service). I pressed option 2 for "cancel your credit-monitoring," then waited on hold for 16 minutes, hung up and called back, pressed option 2, and waited for 11 minutes.
I called back and pressed option 4 for "if you have any questions concerning your credit report," and after 11 minutes, I heard the hold music replaced by "Sorry, an error occurred while transferring your call." Then it actually did transfer me to a representative, who couldn't find my file after trying multiple options. She told me that probably it hadn't been processed yet, so she couldn't access it to cancel it. She recommended I call back Monday (this would be the 8th day, at which point I would have been assessed the monthly charge of $14.95) to see if my file had been entered into the database yet.
Cheap shortcuts (a poorly-done computer voice on the customer service phone recording, understaffed customer service or intentionally long hold times, and disorganized and lagging information systems) created a negative experience for me. I'll never recommend this company to anyone.
