This is a company that makes a lot of false claims. Every few months they would post a new item in their cash shop and say it'll only be available for a limited time, so "grab it now before it's gone forever!" They also put certain items on sale and claim they were going to be "discontinued forever." Then one month later the "gone forever" item returns. Another two weeks later, so has the "discontinued" item. They make these false advertisements to encourage people's spending, which I believe is extremely unethical. Just think of it as buying a limited edition. They also host events that encourage you to spend in the cash shop with incentives. The only problem is - for instance, their most recent event: when you "spend NX 25000 or more NX Prepaid on the Atlantica site , we’ll give you an extra NX 5000 FREE!" Sounds nice? Wait til you learn the details. You go purchase a $25 Nexon Game Card (which is equivalent to 25000 NX), then come home, login to Atlantica website and redeem it. You have now spent the amount needed for event. No. You must actually USE up the 25000 on the Atlantica site (as though simply purchasing the $25 card does not entitle Nexon the money already.) Now the next issue. Nexon cash shop items come in values such as 9990, 13490, 3990. The only items that come in as 10000 and 1000 are clothing boxes (and one random mount box). So basically the only ways to use up the full 25000 is to: 1) purchase those clothing boxes and, 2) spend more than $25. If you did not know about this and ended up spending total of 24990 or 24995 or even 24999 - too bad for you but you're now disqualified for the event (1 NX, by the way, is 0.1 cent - yes $0.001). This company also has horrible customer service. They take long to answer your questions and when they do, they rarely address to what you asked. A typical response is them pointing out you're wrong. For example if there is a game glitch, they'll likely tell you it's your erroneous graphic setting. They also have a lot of server crashes, resulting in player's inability to login. When that happens, time-sensitive items keep running despite the fact they should be paused as stated in cash shop. In this case they usually say they are truly sorry about it, and they'll "compensate" that by offering the entire server bonus exp on weekend. Hooray for the people who never spent a dime in the cash shop! But has Nexon "compensated" those people whose time-sensitive items kept running due to their internal error? Of course not. So while their games can be fun, Nexon is truly the worst company I've ever dealt with in my life.
