NOT recommended. Unprofessional, unresponsive and low-end quality.
Overall, the company does not seem to care about customer service. It was not easy to communicate with them, before or during the rental process, as they never answered the office phone and ignored some texts, too. If / when they called back, they were on cell phones and it always sounded like they were a million miles away. Every time. Our initial impression of the rental office itself was not a good one. I’ve never been to a crack house in a third world country, but I would expect the crack house to be nicer and easier to find. It's up a dark flight of stairs and the sign is taped to the door. (FYI - While waiting our turn, we met another guest who said he was concerned about the fact that they seemed unresponsive as well.) The first thing we noticed when arriving in our unit is that the rugs in our unit were filthy and looked as if they have not been cleaned in years. There were some other very basic items in our condo that housekeeping should have noticed immediately and fixed before we arrived. For example, there were 3 (small) flat screen TVs in the unit. One did not work the entire time, even after we asked for a repair. Bathmats were used / dirty. Two lamps needed new lightbulbs. (Fortunately, those last items were addressed rather quickly.) The bedrooms and beds were actually “okay” although the linens were cheap the mattresses were basic. Regarding the bathrooms, we had two showers in our unit. One worked fine, and the other was always a surprise. Either freezing cold or scalding hot. We just dealt with it because we did not want to complain about too many things. In addition, during our stay, the elevator in our building broke. It was a big problem for us, as we were traveling with one person who could not climb stairs. OMG travel did not return our calls or texts about this at all. A word of warning: The address of this building was 5700 w. 6th street. We spoke with other tenants in the building who said the elevators break “often.” The reason we chose this rental unit in the first place was because we needed to be in the neighborhood and the price was less expensive than other rentals we found. Well, (We also are familiar with LA and knew that we would not be in the unit very much, thankfully). You get what you pay for. Again, please be aware that this is not luxury. This is 2 or “possibly” 3 star. If you are seeking very basic accommodations, you are satisfied with low-end everything, and just a place to sleep -- then you may be fine with this rental company.
