Review 5/13/2011
Sketchy bait and switch tactics! I had been searching for a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution hard and long when I came across the only one with exactly the options I wanted. It was 3am when I found it and called the dealership later that morning. I asked the salesman (who seemed pretty nice) to see if they would be willing to change the spoiler at the dealership and he said he would talk to his sales manager and get back to me. He never called. So when I called him back he said the price was now $2,000 more! I asked to speak to the sales manager. When I got the sales manager (Michael) on the phone he proceeded to ruin my day. Simply asking about the overnight price change made him very defensive saying he's isn't going to debate "his prices" and that we never had a contract (which of course is true). He says the price changed because of "basic economics", that the demand exceeded supply. He said the supply was low due to the earthquakes in Japan (over two months ago). I checked on the dealer's website again and sure enough the price was now listed as "call dealer". It doesn't take an Economics degree (which I have) to know that it just doesn't make sense to change pricing overnight (literally) due to a situation that occurred over two months ago.The sales manager continued arguing with his bad attitude and threatened to increase his entire inventory by $5,000 because "the market can handle it". My little experience with this dealership has successfully given me a bitter taste to something I've been looking forward to for years now (I've dreamed of owning an Evo for over 5 years now). If you want to have a terrible sales experience, this is your dealership. I understand that they move a lot of Evos but that doesn't give them the right to treat their customers like that. I've have been dealing with dealerships for several years now and this sales manager was the rudest I have yet to come across. Although they are still offering the most competitive price, I will NOT be buying my dream Evo from them. I hope this review keeps someone from having the same experience I've just had.
