Teletrac works...sometimes
|
We are a Trucking Co based in Florida and have used Teletrac for many years (since backlit displays). We have had various problems since the beginning and was not going to renew the contract. However, we were duped by a new rep who told us that they have new software with tablets and all the problems would go away. The new tablets blank out frequently and give false information to drivers on a daily basis. We have drivers calling in the middle of the night when the units give them false info. When a unit fails, we have to return it to them and wait for them to repair and return. We have requested to send another unit before we send the bad one but were refused. They seem not to care that we need a unit in the truck to track the driver and get correct mileage for IFTA purposes. GPS in these units JUST DONT WORK FOR TRUCK ROUTES. All our drivers have given up using them as they got in trouble while using them. The customer service is average when you get to talk to someone. Most of the time you are put on hold and after several minutes just go to voicemail. If you order new equipment to be installed, or request a repair technician you may have to wait a while. They use 3rd party installers mostly from stereo and security system companies. We are determined not to renew our contract with TeleTrac. There are many good choices now to consider. We are actually trying to get out of the contract if possible.
