CMS is a subsidiary of Carrington Financial, a holding company based out of Connecticut. We are in the process of purchasing a home through CMS and it has been more than six months. Our loan processor keeps requesting the same documents over and over again. When all the docs were sent, they claim that the copies are illegible or they need further explanation. We hand delivered clear copies, that they end up requesting again weeks later. Our loan processor was then replaced half way through, and now the new and improved processor is asking for the exact same docs. We are about to sign the fourth escrow extension form and are no closer to closing than the day we started this horrible experience. The Better Business bureau can only document and notify CMS of complaints, but can not take any action against any company. At this point, we would rather live in a van under a bridge than have to continue this process with CMS. Do not use this company for anything.
