I initially applied with a $10,000 a month account because that was the amount of business that I was doing initially hoping to grow in the future. Two or 3 months later my volume jumped up to about $27,000 in the the 2nd week of the month because one of my products was being discontinued and there was a run on the product. I was hoping to use these funds to make one last purchase. However, to my shock and horror my plans would be completely ruined due Bankcard USA. They started withholding funds and held over $17,000 while I was still shipping the products to customers. After contacting them they told me that I went over my approved account limit and they requested proof that I shipped 10 random orders which I did promptly. However, there were still no monies released and after calling and emailing on a daily basis with no response from Risk Management I was freaked out about what I could do about them STEELING over $17,000. I did research and found that it was in the contract that they could do that but I was wondering if I would EVER get my money back. READ YOUR CONTRACT BEFORE APPLYING FOR ANY MERCHANT ACCOUNT. What bothers me the most was the way that they avoided me for 3 weeks with no response until I emailed my rep in Risk Management saying that I will be contacting the State Attourney and making sure that they are following the letter of the law. Which I believe that they can NOT withhold money for more than 6 months in the state of California and it must be in an non-interest bearing account. Well, then I got a response that they were releasing $11,000 but are withholding a $5,000 reserve. Which they still have 3 months later.

Just to let everyone know that everything worked out well with my machine. Everything Eric Kellogg said happened, happened. I usually do not trust ordering from the internet as I am more of a relationship type of person but I guess I got lucky this time.

Please feel free to call me as a reference in the future as Eric Kellogg's acknowledge and experience in this field was a tremendous asset to my decision.

My name is Mary from Celestial Memorial and I've been dealing with Wes C. at BankCard USA. I wish I had someone to refer to him. The ones I know have signed into a contract for years and it would not be beneficial for them to change at the present. However, I do recommend Wes' service to all I meet. I tell the salesmen who come in here that I am happy with the service I have with BankCard USA. Other companies claim to "beat" their price but when it gets to the fine print, they do not. The last woman here "forgot" to tell me about a $150.00 set up fee for the account. I added up the numbers for her and she was costing me more money.

Thanks to Wes at BankCard USA for being truthful and helpful to me. He will do well in life in all that he does if he keeps up his honesty and helful attitude.

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THAT ANDREW AND HEATHER ARE VERY GOOD WORKERS. THEY TAKE THE TIME OUT TO UNDERSTAND YOUR SITUATION AND TRY THERE HARDEST TO KEEP YOU AS A CUSTOMER. I OWN THREE RESTAURANTS AND I HAVE TO DEPEND ON MY VENDORS AS WELL AS MY CUSTOMERS TO KEEP MY DOORS OPEN IN TODAYS ECONOMY. SOMETIMES YOU NEED TO BE HEARD WHEN U NEED TO RAISE ISSUES TO BE DISCUSSED AND WITH THE FRUSTRATION WITH CUSTOMERS NOT SPENDING LIKE THEY USE TO IT CAN BE OVERWHELMING TO JUST STAY FOCUSED. I SPOKE WITH ANDREW ABOUT MY ACCOUNT AND HE GOT DIRECTLY ON IT. HE PUT ME WITH A YOUNG LADY BY THE NAME OF HEATHER AND SHE ADDRESSED MY PROBLEM WITH SPEED AS WELL AS CONCERN FOR ME IN DEALING WITH THE ISSUES. I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH MY RESULTS. WE NEED MORE PEOPLE IN CUSTOMER SERVICE LIKE THESE TWO. BECAUSE OF HOW I WAS DEALT WITH I CAN HAPPILY SAY THAT I AM STILL A CUSTOMER OF BANK CARD. ITS ALL IN HOW YOU HANDLE PEOPLE IN TODAYS BUSINESS. I would like to say that Mr. Richard Lapkin has given us outstanding customer service. He has been very helpful with explaining all the services of the credit card processing. This has been a very easy set up for us. I like the fact that he is always there to take your call when you have a question.

We are so happy that we found him and will be referring him to other companies that we do business with.

To whom it may concern:

I have a small business in Ada, OH and I currently have Bankcard USA as my credit card processor. Many times supervisors hear only complaints about one of their employees and so when I run into a company and employees that deserves a pat on the back, I try to let it be known. I called Bankcard USA because I was having some issues and had questions to ask. I was greeted by a clear, pleasant voice announcing that I had reached Bankcard USA. I was then transferred to their customer service department who helped me solve my problem quickly and efficiently. They answered my questions and provided me with additional information that I could use. It made me feel like a valued customer no matter how small our business is. In any case, a pat on the back goes out to their customer service department! It always helps that a company as big as Bankcard USA has employees with pleasand and helpful demeanor. It's definitely an asset to any company!

We signed up with Bankcard in April 2010, we also had high pressure, and empty promises from the sales rep. Once we started processing transactions the problems began, It's the same everywhere you look. They hold your money and they will not return your call, emails or letters. This company is unbelievable and totally misleading. Their employees make a game out of dealing with their clients. I have written a four page letter, I have called and left over fifty phone messages, I have emailed them. They refuse to respond.

The only thing you can do 1. DO NOT USE Bankcard USA! 2.If you are going through a similar experience, contact your state Attorney General as I have, It's free and easy you can do a business complaint on line. If enough victims follow through your state attorney general will act.

I have used this company's merchant account services for about three years. I have never had a charge back. I have infrequent charges in larger dollar amounts (I run a law practice.)

This company cannot perform per contract. If you do anything more than swap-meet-sized transactions, rest assured, you will have delays. They don't call, they don't verify, they don't investigate. They just sit on thousands of $$ of your money until you figure out that they have not done their job. Even then, good luck getting a call back.

As my practice has grown I thought about changing my merchant banker to my business bank, however, because I am busy and I already had things set up with this company I just let it be. I can tell you now after BankCard has held $15k in my proceeds for days without even attempting to verify the transaction, I am done with this company. GO TO YOUR BUSINESS BANK - GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE. They cannot handle any sizable transaction. My own rating with BBB is A+ - I would die for my clients. I cannot believe this company is in business.

I should have read the complaints all over the web before signing up with them. Impossible to get a callback and they either don't answer their extensions or worse yet their voice mail is full. After 2 months they started holding batches and didn't even have the courtesy to contact us and it was due to a large Internet transaction that we were unaware would cause a problem or "risk". They forced me to refund the sale and it took over 7 days to get the funds tied up in 4 days batches and then it was wired a day later than promised and $150 short. Now they started holding both companies as they have 'questions' but are never there to contact. I was forced to refund over 50 in-house orders since we had no funds coming in to cover them. It has been four days now and they have not processed the first refund. If you ever consider using this company I have a bridge to sell you!

I wish I had something positive to say about this company; unfortunately, I do not. Their high-pressure salesman promise you great service and the most competitive rates, and tell you that you can discontinue your account without penalty whenever they do not live up to your expectations. In reality, this company's service is the worst; once you are a customer, you will be treated rudely and find out that discontinuing your account means you are not eligible for any refunds, even if you want to return the brand new (non pay card industry (PCI) compliant) credit card machine. I am sure this company's rating will be lowered to a D or F once ongoing complaints are propcessed by the BBB. Meanwhile, take a look at the numerous complaints that are posted on this company. I highly recommend that interested business customers stay clear of Bank Card USA.

I have had nothing but bad experiences with this company. As a new business, we were unaware of what to expect with a merchant processor. We opted to rent to own the machine & have been charged $50 per month for the past 2 years! Who knows when it will be paid off. Within a couple months, problems happened where the service would not pick up when trying to run a credit card. This continued to happen off & on with messages of "no answer". Each time we called, we were told it was not the service but the machine, but were told they would not send a replacement & we had to be 2 weeks without a machine if we wanted it fixed. When argued with them, they said we had to send ours in first & then they would send a replacement, like we were going to hold onto the "broken" machine. The customer service was horrible. Everyone had a different story & a "I'm not going to help you" attitude. We were even charged $12.50 per month for customer service! The last straw came when we sat on hold for over an hour and a customer service rep with an attitude told us that the machine was broken and there was nothing they could do. We asked to speak to a manager and were given to a manager that told us they could not help us. We told them that we would have to cancel service if we could not get helped as we were paying for a service that was not living up to what it should be. All they had to say was "Go Ahead" with no apology. So we opened an account with our bank. We opted to try the same machine with our new processor as we had been paying on it. The machine worked fine & has not had a problem for the past 8 months! Proof that our machine was not "broken". Upon canceling the service with Bankard, we were told we'd have to wait another 3 weeks to cancel or we'd lose deposits. We waited, were charged again for services, & were told we had to fax in a form with signature that we no longer wanted their services. We did and months later a statement came that we were being charged. I called customer service and they claimed they never got the fax. They had been debiting my account for the whole time that I was supposedly cancelled. When called, they were very oh hum about it as usual & said I had to re-fax in another form. I am not sure when I will be done with this company. It is not fast enough for me! The savings on rates you may save her are not worth the hassle!!

I am posting this review in hopes that other consumers (businesses) will learn from the same mistake that I did in agreeing to open a merchant’s account with Bank Card USA. This company’s rates are very competitive, but their credit card machines are expensive, and, at least in the case of the typical credit card machine that they offer—the Nutri 8320 (EDC/POS Terminal & Printer)—it is NOT Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant. Granted, using a machine that is not PCI compliant is not illegal, but it does present a credit card security issue for potential customers, and can be an issue with the credit card companies themselves--VISA, Master Card, and American Express. One more important thing you should realize is that it is this company’s unwritten policy to not refund any money that you pay upfront for their credit card machine. As such, be sure you what to do business with this company before you provide them a void check or make other payment. Alternatively, rent the credit card machine from this company or buy one elsewhere. Better yet, look elsewhere for a merchant’s account.
