ALPS Air Conditioner & Heating from Anaheim, awesome technicians that take tons of pride in their work, highly recommended and nice to see there are good guys out there.
I decided to get three bids for replacing my old gas furnace and ducts and install a new energy efficient AC. After making and appointment Allen the owner showed up on time and inspected the house and attic to give me and detailed estimated of the work and cost involved, the two previous bidders didn’t even bother to look in the attic. He measured every room with details of sun exposure and use to calculate the total BTU (capacity) required for the furnace and A/C. He didn’t try to up-sell me a larger than needed unit (70% of A/C homes have units that exceeds the customer need according to Edison web site) but he recommended a unit that runs at normally 80% and at 100% for start up and hot days saving lots of electricity. His price was half of the higher bidder I and his company is one of the few certified by EDISON as Building Energy Efficient Standard installation and I was able to get a $ 1,750 rebate.
The removal and installation took only one day leaving no mess in their wake. Every room was cool and there were not hot spots indicating poor design, he uses his own crew and one of his employees has been with the company for 24 years, many bidders now subcontract the work and result in poor quality.
He made arrangements for electrical and mechanical permits from the city and per Edison required a third party inspector from Golden State Compliance to inspect the installation and he was impress with the quality of the work and he explained how some other companies do shortcuts in the work not ALPS Air.
I’m extremely pleased with the work done, they showed on time every time, they were prompt returning my calls, pricing was great and service even better top notch.
